Lata Mangeshkar:

The word singer is a synonym for Lata Mangeshkar in India. She was born in Indore Madhya Pradesh on 28th September 1929. She has three sisters Usha Mangeshkar, Mina Mangeshkar, and Asha Bhosle and one brother Hriday Nath Mangeshkar. All sisters and brothers started their careers in singing through the Music industry. Lata was born to Pandit Dina Nath Mangeshkar and she is from the Maratha family. This most popular singer of India started her singing career in childhood when she was 5 years old. Her first song was Ayega Anewala for the movie Mahal. She sang in more than 20 languages. In her outstanding singing career, she won prestigious awards such as Padma Bhushan (1969), Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1989), Lifetime Achievement Award for the film back (1993), Rajiv Gandhi Award (1997), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Bharat Ratna (2001) and many more.
