TISS PhD Admissions 2023: Who doesn’t know about TISS of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, which came into being in the year 1936 primarily as Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work? It is created to meet the requirements for trained human service professionals. During the initial stages, it is funded via a public university along with the entire plan and various non-plan grants which is mainly facilitated by UGC or University Grants Commission, Government of India since the period of 1964.
This institute has constantly worked in the work of research, programme development and evaluation, policy support, training, and advice on the development interventions along with the ministries and self-governing bodies of GoI; multi-lateral organizations, State Governments, and bi-lateral universities and institutions all over the globe; the non-government sector, commerce, businesses at international and national levels; and peoples’ networks and groups.
TISS has invited application for Ph.D programme for the year 2023. This programme is offered for plenty of schools and for various Independent Centres of the institute all over Tata Institute of Social Sciences- Tuljapur, Guwahati, and Hyderabad campuses. In the given research areas programmes are offered like. Management and Labour Studies, Education, Disaster Management, Habitat Studies, Social Sciences, Media and Cultural Studies, Public Health, Social Work, Health Systems Management, Women’s Studies, Including Social Justice and Development.
Candidates applying for the PhD programme should have done post graduation from any of the recognized university of India or outside India with aggregate of 55% marks.
